The advent of MULTIMEDIA software
packages has opened up new possibilities in various
fields of research such as:
-
PACKAGING DEVELOPMENT
- DESIGN EVALUATION
- ADVERTISING TESTING
- PRICING SENSITIVITY MEASUREMENT
- SIMULATED SHOPPING
Techniques developed by Marketing
Sciences, UK, enable us to offer you all the advantages
of the latest technology through MULTIMEDIA screen
testing. We use state of the art CAD software
to create visual presentations on CD ROM, which
can then be shown to consumers in central locations,
using PCs or large screen LCD projections.
The CD-ROM format enables us to carry out the
research in any location in the UK, Europe or
the rest of the world.

PACKAGING STUDIES |
 |
|
In the field of packaging
design, the main advantage of the MULTIMEDIA
approach lies in its use in traditional research
areas such as SHELF STANDOUT MEASUREMENT and
BRAND RECOGNITION, where they have brought
the enormous advantage of being able to show
3D images of real products on screen.
A further advantage is that they allow the
creation of new packaging on screen in 3D.
The images created may be used in product
design only or may also include the labelled
brand.
Images can be rotated on screen, enabling
examination of the back of labels, instructions
for use and other details. This computerised
method enables us to reduce costs, save time
and avoid problems related to the preparation
and transportation of sample packaging.
Finally, Multimedia testing does not restrict
us to specific applications. Once a design
has been created on screen, the consumer can
then interactively modify the packaging, changing
individual features by making alterations
in size, location, style or colour. |

DESIGN STUDIES |
  |
|
All the advantages for packaging
research are equally useful in the field of
product design studies for electronic goods,
tableware and other non-perishables. 3D designs
can be newly created on screen ( or based
on ideas provided by actual designers) and
can then be shown directly to consumers.
Costly mock-ups become unnecessary and a great
deal of time can be saved.
Where appropriate, the design may be developed
on screen with the help of the consumer to
exploure new shapes, materials, colours and
other design features.
The MULTIMEDIA method, which is also extremely
useful when producing brochures, leaflets
and posters, is now known as our CADI research
service. |

ADVERTISING TESTING |
  |
|
The greatest advantage to
be gained in the this area is the simplicity
of pre or post multimedia campaign testing.
Any of the media - TV, radio, press, direct
mailing or posters, etc. - can be brought
together and shown to consumers in a clear
and logical manner.
Additionally, it is possible to develop written
communications interactively. |

PRICING STUDIES |
  |
|
Our new method enables us
constantly to update price sensitivity assessments.
Panel data on paper and cumbersome price card
brochures are a thing of the past now that
the MULTIMEDIA system allows us to show real
presentations of the products of interest
by creating them for us on screen.
Prices can be displayed realistically on the
shelves and changed electronically with the
consumer´s brand choices. |

SIMULATED SHOPPING |
  |
|
With our CAD software, we
are able to create a sales display/show case
anywhere.
For certain surveys, simulated shopping provides
a versatile way of exploring consumer behaviour
and thought processes at the point of purchase.
In the area of consumer goods, consumers can
also be invited to change the distribution
and thus provide a clue as to how to improve
brand ranking. |
